Guilty pleasure
My newest guilty pleasure is the muppets (children) station on pandora. It makes me smile. I’m listening to the Banana Boat song right now. Now I want to watch Beetlejuice.
Day 7
Yesterday was probably the hardest day I’ve encountered yet. I was craving eggs and bacon something fierce. As seen in the picture I posted I had vegan chili cheese fries. They were wonderful. Today is posing to be as challenging as yesterday. I really want a steak bagel from McDonalds, but I am going to be strong and resist. I want to see how being vegan this week effects my weight loss. I...

I have been listening to The Muppets movie soundtrack. It makes life so much better!!
Jinxed Myself
I am now craving all sorts of foods I shouldn’t be. I want eggs, cheeseburgers, and bacon. Luckily there is a vegan restaurant nearby that I can get lunch at. Thank heaven!!
Pictures to come.
Day 6
I am almost through my first whole week going vegan!! Once again I have shocked myself by not failing miserably at this. I mean I’m a meat eater so the fact that so far hasn’t been too bad is just foreign to me. Although I am craving eggs something fierce. But this is about how yesterday was..
I ate my own foods yesterday, at least most of the day. So that’s good. I made...
Day 4 and 5
I successfully survived the weekend. Saturday morning proved trying, while my brother and his friend ate eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy I had fruit and oatmeal. It was disappointin to say the least. Oh well, we went to chili’s for lunch and I got fajitas without meat, cheese or sour cream. Overall pretty good I’d say. Then dinner was at a World Banquet, celebrating different cultures....
Day 3
This was an interesting day. I went to Valparaiso to visit my brother so I had to figure out what to eat and drink while here. It was okay, and not too hard. I had a veggie burger, it was chipotle black bean burger. It was on a whole wheat bun, the only problem is that I am not 100% sure that it was vegan. Eating in a cafeteria I figure that I will simply to the best I can. I also had hummus and...
Day 2
Well the second day proved easier than the first, thank to eating out smartly. I had Jamba Juice oatmeal with bananas in the morning. They cook it in soymilk, so that was good. The only bad part was she didn’t ask me if I wanted brown sugar topping and just added it. Since this is an experiment and I don’t hate people who eat animal by-products, I simply scrapped it off and went on my...

– This was part (semi-paraphrased) of a letter that my boyfriend received from his uncle. It is in regards to a trust that his uncle is the trustee of, and my boyfriend is one of the beneficiaries. Can you say douche bag????
For the record, the response in a timely fashion was because he did not...
Day 1
Yesterday was my first day and it was successful. I was surprised at the difference in nutrition of the foods I ate. Although I guess I probably shouldn’t be. I already noticed a change in that I had more energy last night before bed, and woke up slightly more refreshed. So yay!
Let’s see how today fairs. Someone on the train is eating a breakfast sandwich and I can smell the bacon....
40 day challenge
So, although I am not particularly religious, for the Lent I have decided to become a vegan. Cold turkey. I also feel like documenting my progress here is the best way to keep up with it and stay motivated.
I have decided to do this for philosophical reasons, primarily. Let me preface this by saying: I do not have a problem with eating meat. I believe that we were meant to eat meat and therefore...
